The American Red Cross is calling for blood donors to help address a severe shortage caused by winter weather and wildfires. Thousands of blood donations have gone uncollected, creating an urgent need for platelets and emergency shortages of O negative and B negative blood types.
To encourage donations, the Red Cross is offering a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of the donor’s choice for those who give blood by February 28. This offer is limited to one per presenting donor unless otherwise specified.
