Free entrance days to U.S. National Parks allow visitors to explore over 400 national parks without paying the usual entrance fees.
These special days are meant to encourage more people to experience the beauty and history of America’s protected landscapes.
One such free entrance day is the first day of National Park Week (April 19, 2025). If you’re interested in visiting a national park, that’s a great time to do it.

- January 20: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
- April 19: First day of National Park Week
- June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
- August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- September 27: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
