Free entrance days to U.S. National Parks allow visitors to explore over 400 national parks without paying the usual entrance fees.
These special days are meant encourage more people to experience the beauty and history of America’s protected landscapes.
There is a free entrance day for Veterans Day (11/11/2024). If you’re interested in visiting a national park, that’s the best time to do it.

- April 20: First day of National Park Week
- June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
- August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- September 28: National Public Lands Day
